After a description of the experimental requirements the most recent asymmetry results from e$^{+}$e$^{-}$ collider experiments are presented. This is followed by a new approach to such measurements at the ``symmetric" LHC proton proton collider. It is demonstrated that the LHC experiments can obtain accurate forward--backward charge asymmetry measurements up to about 2 TeV dilepton center of mass energies.
