Actions:
1. Identify two-three lectures/speakers for "Physique du Quotidien" lectures in academic year 2021-2022 for Mini-Athena and discuss with them
2. Find ways to produce statistics on the effectiveness of Athena into getting good students into studying Physics at the UniGe (questionnaires? getting in touch with older students? ...)
3. Come up with ideas on how to include material from Unsolved into Physiscope, potentially as a "goodie" to go away with ; Other additions to Physiscope?
4. Discuss with Stellarium on inclusion of the small version of a CTA camera; later include into Astroscope (planning needed)
5. Art & science / Icecube: Follow up on funding (Agora) and possible locations in Geneva (e.g. museums)
6. Increase visibility in social media (LinkedIn / Twitter) - work in progress
To be discussed at the next meeting or at a later date:
1. How to establish some essential collaboration with CERN outreach and education
2. General public events (weekend / evening lectures, other concrete ideas)
3. Wednesday afternoon classes to high school students as a way to keep the best of the Athena ones connected to the university
4. Other actions to bring students closer by us going into their classrooms (e.g. proposing activities or lectures or videos in the classes directly)

General outreach plans at the Section (from Olivier)
- Physiscope :
- Chose a signaler: Master students not necessarily in good level / maturity for moniteurs. Not enough assistants, can become problematic.
- Contents of physiscope: Done by the team of physiscope & assistants.
- Next event in 2022
- Lancement de Scientify à la section :
- productions audiovisuels.
Presentation expected for collège de la section in February.
Athéna - slides from Camille
- 6 years, 70 students. 80% finish, 31% succeed exam.
- Scholarships have been a good way to convince them to stay at the UniGe.
- Maybe students do physics in other universities or do science in other sections. Find out.
- Some follow up via questionnaires d'evaluation could be useful, beyond what is now done
- Students have already decided what they want to do by the time they do athena. Open up to younger ages.
- Would need to adapt a bit the course "Physique d'aujourd'hui" to make it appropriate and productive also for Athena students. Target 2-3 course / professors to work on that for next academic year.
- Could this also be open to Grand Public? - already Grand Public. Maybe move the time to make it more appropriate for Grand Public.
- Colloque grand public in the evening didn't really work. :(
- Assistants: 10-11 moniteurs/ARE. Pas facile (comme toujours).
Plans related to the Scienscope (from Christophe)
- Setting up a new Scienscope at Sciences II – March 2021
- Hiring a director – Spring 2021
- New Scienscope in the new building Physics/Maths – 2029
- How will the Science Gateway interfere with UniGe activities?
- Some other space will become available in Ferney.
- Important to interact with all other activites. Needs to be done in a coherent way.
- Multi-disciplinarity!! Is the advantage of the university.
- Should/Could there be some communication line with CERN for *real* collaboration ? Accord / MoU brought up based on astroparticle experience.
Points to discuss:
- Actions to improve or initiate (within departments or globally as section de physique)
- Art & sience. IceCube brought up as an example, an exposition proposed for a cathedral (was done inBerlin). 20-25 kCHF. Agora? Agora needs Interactivité forte. There is connection between Section de Physique and the museum Histoire des Sciences.
- Arts and science examples:

- http://imachination.net/; http://imachination.net/ais3/index.php
- Project Unsolved from Francesco.
- Videos, Jeu de cartes, App & High school program. Cible étudiants de Lycée.
- Could the Jeu de cartes could be included in the physiscope?
Think about concrete projects.
- Involve PhD students to increase their motivation
- Outreach video in QFT course
- "Snake & QFT"
- Target audience & objectives
- Inform general public (& reach out to decision-makers)
- Nuit de la science and other such events.
- Shall we try to increase visibility in social media, e.g. Twitter?
- Shall we introduce some General public events (evening/weekend lectures?)
- Events in museums / in collaboration with astronomy.

- Engage and motivate students to do science & physics
- Physiscope & Athena.
- Shall we try to bring ourselves into their own space to potentially increase influence? [Lectures, videos, mini physics projects to do with their classmates?]
- Math gives classes on sexy topics to high school students on Wednesday afternoon. A way to keep students.
- Cosmic ray App
