The long standing indication of neutrino oscillation from the Sun is now reinforced by claims of neutrino oscillation from the LSND and the SuperKamiokande collaborations. The LSND result indicates that in the neutrino mixing matrix, a nu_mu->nu_e transition might occur at about Dm**2 ~ 1 eV**2 with a relatively small probability P ~ 0.3%. This oscillation parameter space region can be fully explored by the proposed I216 experiment at CERN. Refurbishing the neutrino beam line from the Proton Synchrotron, this experiment could give a definitive results in the year 2003, after two years data taking. The experiment is presented along with its motivations and sensitivity.
