Le DPNC à la     Nuit de la Science

IceCube and CTA

IceCube activities:

  • An IceCube video playing in a 40-inch screen.
  • Paper model of the IceCube experiment for kids to cut and glue. We provided scissors and glue, but not many people enganged (probably more appropriate for an indoors activity). Gave some away for home.
  • IceCube comics (see below) printed into carton. They were for display / discussion with the animators. They were taken away by people before the end of the first day.
  • IceCube "tattoos" and stickers, given away to a few people.

    CTA:

  • A mini-camera was displayed, in plexiglass. The presentation was assisted by large posters on the back.

    Comments for the future:

Print more comics (in paper) to give away; the samples we had were taken away. Give away paper models, to bring at home (otherwise, consider this as an interactive activity for an indoors event). The activity was a little "hidden": next time we should put it along the 'entrance' to make it more visible.
